The Program Presenter, Jim Smith Jim Smith began presenting an air show and classroom program about flight to his son's third grade class in 1994. In 1997 Jim formed Cimarron Aviation Education and is now flying and scheduling Aviation Day programs in the central United States. This past summer Jim served as Assistant Director of Space Camp at ASTEC in Oklahoma City. A member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), he is an Education graduate of Oklahoma State University. Jim has been an elementary school classroom teacher, a factory worker, an independent businessman, a manager, and (for all too briefly) a surfer. This eclectic background and his life-long love of flight brings color and energy to the Aviation Day program.
